GRIPS Theater Berlin: Video Production for Live Theater and Performances

GRIPS Theater, located in Berlin, is a renowned children’s and youth theater known for its innovative and socially conscious productions. Established in 1969, it has played a pivotal role in shaping the German-speaking theater scene, tackling contemporary social issues through powerful and engaging performances. The theater is deeply committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity, offering a dynamic repertoire that resonates with audiences of all ages.

Since 2021, I have had the privilege of producing a wide range of professional video content for GRIPS Theater, including:

• Full theater play recordings released on DVD

• Trailers to promote upcoming performances

• Live stream production for the Children’s Theater Award, directed by Petra Zieser

For the live stream, we went all out: pre-producing clips, filming with six cameras, and meticulously rehearsing the camera movements and live stream flow to ensure a seamless broadcast.

My work combines high-quality video production with the unique atmosphere of live theater, ensuring that every performance is captured with precision and creativity.
